Dennis J. Blanchard

Dennis J. Blanchard, 58, of Ashville, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua, Jamestown, following a brief illness.

He was born Jan. 27, 1963. Dennis grew up with the Camp family in Ripley, N.Y., and was a graduate of Ripley Central School. On Dec. 31, 2008, Dennis married the love of his life, Marianne, who passed away Nov. 19, 2013.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Carol Camp of Ripley, N.Y.; five siblings: Connie (Burt) Anderson of Ashville, N.Y., Michael (Daisy) Camp of Dickenson, N.D., Scott (Helen) Camp of Ripley, N.Y., Marge Ondreako of Lake-wood, N.Y., and Julie (Eric) Einfeldt of Ripley, N.Y.; also survived by two biological sisters: Denise Blanchard and Rosalie Morley, both of James-town, N.Y.; 16 nieces and nephews and nine biological nieces and nephews: stepchildren: Jake (Rhiannon) Lundquist, of Georgia and Lindsay (David) Beckstrom, of Tennessee; and four stepgrandchildren.

Dennis is predeceased by: his wife, Marianne Blanchard; his father, Donald Camp; a nephew, Ryan Ondreako; his biological parents, James and Diane Blanchard; a biological sister, Debra Calhoun; and a biological brother, James Blanchard.

Dennis worked in food service for the Panama Central School District. He was an avid hunter, a long-time Buffalo Bills fan and always enjoyed a good meal as he loved to eat. He was kind hearted and very fond of his loyal dog, Obie. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Ripley Baptist Church, 9869 East Side Hill Road, Ripley, N.Y., on Saturday August 21, 2021 starting 3 p.m., with the memorial service following at 4 p.m.
