Lynn P. Jackson

Lynn was born into the Hawk Clan on Aug. 9, 1952, the son of Luman and Matilda (Twoguns) Jackson.

Lynn was an independent contractor and roofer, he was a proud and revered 30 year member with the Jamestown Chapter of A.A. He was a sponsor and mentor to many in the program and was a speaker that traveled all over the United States helping and encouraging many to overcome addiction .

Survivors include a sister, Cynthia L. Ballagh of Irving; a brother, Richard (Geraldine) Gates of Gowanda; several nieces and nephews; along with a sister-in-law, Joyce Gates of Irving .

Besides his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by siblings: Betty Parker, Melvin Gates, LeRoy Gates, Fredrick Jackson and Valerie Pierce.

Friends may call after noon on Saturday July 31 and all day on Sunday Aug. 1, at his sister-in-law’s residence; Joyce Gates 12673 Route 438, Irving, N.Y., on the Cattaraugus Territory, where his funeral will be held Monday, Augu. 2, 2021 at 10 a.m., burial to following in the Seneca Nation Cemetery .
