Judith Ann Clapham Wade

Judith Ann Clapham Wade, born July 27, 1944, in Jamestown, N.Y., died July 10, 2021, where she was residing at the Cloisters Assisted Living Facility, in DeLand, Fla. She was the widow of John Wade, who passed away in 2013, and Ed Gorham, who passed away in 1999.

Judy was the daughter of the late Norman and Alice Rodman Clapham. She was a 1962 graduate from Southwestern High School in Jamestown (W.E.), N.Y., and a 1965 graduate from Millard Fillmore School of Nursing, in Buffalo, N.Y.

Judy spent her nursing career in Buffalo, N.Y., un-til moving to Florida, where she worked in the Fish Memorial Hospital in Orange City, and most of her career at the DeLand Hospital in DeLand, until her retirement. There, she worked in surgery and in oncology.

Judy was a member of the Christ United Church in DeLand, Fla., and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, N.Y.. Recently she was attending services at the Cloisters Facility, where she was their church treasurer. She also attended the First Baptist Church in DeLand for Bible study.

Judy is survived by her brother, Terrance Clapham (Carol), Crystal Bay, Nev.; nephew, William Clapham (Julia); great-nephews: Liam and Finlay Clapham, all from Santa Cruz, Calif.; niece, Lyn Clapham Hol-stead; and great-niece, Emily Holstead of Castro Valley, Calif.

A Cremation burial was at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla., where she was laid to rest next to her husband John.
