Norman L. Heimbuch
Norman L. Heimbuch died suddenly at Lutheran Rehab & Skilled Nursing on June 17, 2021, and entered the presence of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy (Brant) Heimbuch, his brother, Michael Heimbuch and spouse, his sister-in-law, Bonnie (Nano) Lopez, his children: Gregory P. Heimbuch, Ohio, Dennis (Diane) Heimbuch, Ohio; Cynthia (Roger) Smith, Wadsworth, Ohio, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward Heimbuch; his mother, Dolly Urban; and his brother-in-law, Bobby (Robert) Brant whom he loved like a son.
Norm served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After, he spent most of his career selling oilfield equipment and was privileged to travel the world. He and his wife, Betsy traveled for business and pleasure to Europe, sailed the Rhine, vacationed in Bermuda and Hawaii, visited many areas in South America, Mexico, and Canada.
His last job was at Petrex, Warren, Pa., as director of marketing.
Norm was active in the music program at Lutheran. He played the piano for concerts and other events. Often, he would go to the chapel and play the songs many residents hadn’t heard in years.
Norm loved the Lord and served him in many ways. He read his Bible diligently and was a prayer warrior. He is at peace now with the God he loved where he will live forever.
A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery in Bath, N.Y., where he will be interred.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations should be made to the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center Music Program. Mail to Lutheran, 715 Falconer St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
