Charles J. Fraterrigo

Charles J. Fraterrigo, 84, of Falconer passed away Monday (June 7, 2021) in his home.

He was born Dec. 2, 1936 in Buffalo, N.Y., the son of the late Samuel and Libby Cardinale Fraterrigo.

He was first employed as a construction worker that constructed the Grant Building in Jamestown, and was a truck driver for the former National Worsted Mills. Prior to retirement in 2007 he was employed as a truck driver for Jamestown Container for 48 1/2 years.

In earlier years Charles played for the semi pro football team, “Jamestown Dukes.” He loved spending time in Florida, going to horse races and the casino.

Surviving is his wife Mary A. O’Brien Fraterrigo whom he married November 1, 1955 in Kennedy; four daughters: Robin Fraterrigo of Falconer, Tina (Jerry) Ivy of Ft. Worth, TX, Rosella (Mark) Schwartz of Sugar Grove, PA, Marie (Michael) Brinkley of Arlington, TX; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Rochelle, Jeremy, Jerrod, Adam, Noah, Rowan and Ryder; two great grandchildren; two sisters: Rosalie Bussi of Buffalo and Libby Adamczyk of Blasdell, N.Y.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Vincenette (John) Keuter; a brother Justin (Noreen) Fraterrigo and a brother-in-law Angelo Bussi.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
