Nick was born on Dec. 28, 1936, to Joseph Triana and Sofie Triana (his beloved mother). Nick was married on July 5 ,1956 to the love of his life, Mary Jane Enserro. Together they forged a beautiful life for 63 years. No two people ever loved or shared so much together. They were Nick and Mary Jane. It was said so often it was like they were one heart and one person. In his wife, Nick had a true life partner. They had three children and two grandchildren, and no one enjoyed their family more than Nick and Mary Jane. We will always hear that big bellowing voice yelling Mare Mare.
Nick graduated from North East High School, where he was an all -star football player. He worked at Carborundum for 40 years and owned multiple real estate properties in Jamestown. He also owned La Vogue beauty salon with his wife. He was the president of the Landlord’s Association and a member of the Mason. One of Nick’s biggest passions was football. He was a long time youth football coach in Jamestown. Not a day would go by where someone didn’t come up to him and say Hi Coach Triana.
No man ever loved his family more or got more joy from his family. He was a wonderful father to Nick, Frank and Jolynn. No three kids were ever blessed with a better father. Even though he worked long hours he never missed a band concert, a football game, or a cheer competition. He was the absolute best. One of Nick’s greatest joy was his two grandkids, Frankie and Morgan. To them he was big Grandpa, the guy that was always there for them, whether he was the G in GO GENEVA at a cheer competition or the biggest fan at a football game. We all know Nick is in heaven telling everyone,”let me tell you about my kids and grandkids.”
To a lot of people, Nick was known as Big Nick and Big Grandpa to his grandkids. No words ever described a Man better. He was huge presence wherever he went. He loved people and they loved him back. From Jamestown to Naples Fla., everyone who ever met Nick would certainly remember him. He will be sorely missed by friends and family.
A memorial service will be held in Jamestown, N.Y., at a time to be determined.
