Jeffrey Lee Peterson

Jeff was born June 16, 1959 in Jamestown, N.Y. to L. Durand and Janice L. Peterson. He was a graduate of Southwestern Central High School.

Jeff was a devoted fol-lower of Jesus Christ and a member of Destiny Worship Center, Destin Campus. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He loved spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren. Jeff was an avid fisherman and en-joyed the great outdoors taking many memorable fishing trips to Canada with his brother and father. Jeff will be remembered for his creative abilities that helped to make his home a fun and loving place for his family. He also enjoyed the sport of baseball as well as coaching during the years his son was growing up.

Jeff was an entrepreneur as he owned and operated his own construction company, Worldequippers, and worked as Regional Manager for Proxy Equipment. He was also an ordained minister and co-founder of Serenity on the Bay Marriage Retreat.

Beside his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Valerie Peterson of Freeport, Fla.; their three children: Kristine (Matthew) Green,of Americus, Ga., Caroline (Jake) Hawkins of Birmingham, Ala., and Mitchell Peterson of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; brothers: Doug (Martha) Peterson of Jamestown, N.Y., and Paul (Kirsten) Peterson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sister, Julie Peterson of Jamestown, N.Y.; grandchildren: Silas, Harper and Collins Green, and Noah and Asher Hawkins.

Celebration of life service will be held at a later date to be determined.
