Doris M. Landy

An area resident for most of her life, she was born March 17, 1932 in Corry, Pa., a daughter of the late Mabel Willis Jaquith.

Before her retirement years she was employed by the Period Brass Company and had previously worked for National Worsted Mills, Enterprise Department Store, Sears Department Store and Jamestown Veneer and Plywood.

Doris will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially cooking Sunday pasta dinners. She also enjoyed taking family trips and playing cards with her friends at the War Vets.

Surviving are her three children: Toni M. (Rick) Odorisio and Phillip A. Landy, both of Jamestown, and Stephanie A. (John Noonan) Landy of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Christopher (Melissa) Himes and Jennifer (Rushton Siggins) Lisciandro both of Jamestown, Louis (Kayla) Landy of Tempe, Ariz., and Anthony Landy of Warren, Pa.; five great-grandchildren: Julian and Hudson Himes, Bella and Sammy Lisciandro and Sloane Siggins; and three brothers: Paul Craker, Larry Jaquith and Gary Jaquith, all of Corry, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Landy, whom she married Oct. 6, 1951 and who died Nov. 11, 2017; her stepfather, Frances Jaquith; and a brother, Frances “Sonny” Jaquith.

A celebration of Doris’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at the Allen Park Men’s Club. Family and friends are welcome to come and share stories of Doris.
