Clarence W. “Clay” Hinson

Clarence W. “Clay” Hinson, 92, a lifelong resident of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away On Monday April 19, 2021, at the Warren Manor in Pennsylvania.

Clarence was born Feb. 18, 1929, the son of the late Joseph and Frances Hinson. Clarence graduated from Jamestown High School where he wrestled and played football.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Falconer Legion Post 638.

His hobbies included League Bowling, wood-working and watching football. He was employed as a machinist at Hydraulic Products and Producto Machine Company.

He was married to his wife of 63 years, Florence Williams on July 25, 1953.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Britton of Ohio; his son, Clarence Hinson; his sister, Carolyn Doran of Buffalo N.Y.; his brother-in-law, Ray Frazier of New Jersey; his grandchildren: Andrew Britton (Sparkle) of Ohio, Aaron Britton of Ohio, Noah Hinson of Florida, Maura Hinson of Erie Pa.; his great-grandchildren: Aleyah, James, Kevin, Ohan, Gabriel, Jaxon and Phoebe. Also many dear nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, George Hinson; his sisters : Evelyn Elias, Mary Hinson, Getrude Cunningham, Marjorie Richards and Judy Sykes.

A Zoom memorial celebration of life will be held for Clarence Hinson. Once details are finalized, the Zoom login information, day and time will be announced.
