Michael P. Darling Sr.

An area resident most of his life he was born Oct. 15, 1953 in Plattsburg, N.Y., the son of the late Charles and Marie LaMountain Darling.

Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and prior to retirement was employed by Keywell Corporation.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and going to the casino.

Surviving are two daughters: Sherry Diers and Lisa Rowin both of Jamestown; five grandchildren: Timothy Wright, Amanda Darling, Douglas Darling, Taylor Rowin, Max Rowin; two great grandchildren: Khloee Gibbs, Archie Monroe; five brothers: Keith, Robert, Ronald, Charles and David Darling and a sister Diane Peru.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon E. Perrson Darling on Aug. 2, 2019; his son Michael P. Darling Jr. on June 25, 2010, his mother in 2015 and a brother Greg Darling.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Penhollow of Jamestown Community Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sephulchre Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
