Mary Ann (Green) Olson

Mary Ann was born to Gunnard and Gerda Green in Jamestown, NY on February 27, 1932. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1950 where she started a college fund and has maintained relationships with many of her classmates until her passing. Her professional life was rich and varied. She was a delivery room nurse, owned a women’s clothing business and then in 1986 earned her CFP and developed a successful financial planning practice which she loved.

Mary Ann was energetic and enthusiastic, full of life; you just couldn’t help but feel good when you were around her. She was adven-turous; she enjoyed sailing, camping in her VW camper and traveling. Other things Scooter loved: her family, her friends, her clients, her book group, her walking group, MSU Spartans, Tom Izzo, photography, music, knitting and Chautauqua.

She is survived by four children, Thomas Sipko (Kathi Presutti), Kristin Olson, Jeffrey Olson and Zachary Olson; four grandchildren Tonya (Ken) Seckinger, Carly Sipko, Brittany (Christopher) Chandler, Carly (Tyler) Guggemos; two great grandchildren, Luke and Alexandria, brother David Green (Barbara); and three nephews. She was preced-ed in death by her son, Todd Olson, her parents, and her partner of 20 years James W. Lyons.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at a future date. Mary Ann was generous and constantly sought to make the world a better place. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to:
