Julio A. “Tony” Ramos

Julio A. “Tony” Ramos, 62, of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, in the Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.

He was born Aug. 28, 1958, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, a son of Maximino and Georgina Guiles Ramos.

While living in Jamestown, he had been employed by Hope’s Windows for many years.

Surviving are two sons: Jamie (Amanda) Ramos of Jamestown, N.Y., and Bayland Ramos of Fredonia, N.Y.; five grandchildren; Iyana, Quinones, Julio, Katana and Maximino Ramos, all of Jamestown; and his former wife, Marsha Ramos of Gerry, N.Y.’ as well as several brothers and sisters.

A private family service will be held Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Kennedy, N.Y.

Friends will be received on a walk through basis from noon -1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home where social distancing will be observed and masks must be worn while inside the funeral home.
