James “Jim” N. Emmott

James “Jim” N. Emmott, 63, of Sinclairville, passed away late in the evening on Jan. 6, 2021 at UPMC Hamot in Erie Pa.
Son of the Juanita and the late Leland “Lee” Emmott, he was born at WCA Hospital in Jamestown, N.Y., on Nov. 3, 1957. Jim graduated from Cassadaga Valley High School in 1975 and was a lifelong resident of Sinclairville. He was a skilled Class A driver employed by Suit Kote for over 25 years. He was a dedicated worker and took pride in his career.
Jim was well known in his community. He was a jack of all trades, a devoted son, loving brother, beloved friend, and a talented singer and guitar player.
He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his Shepard mix, “Raine”. He was also known for having a love of the sky taking several opportunities to fly in small planes.
Jim was a man with a sense of humor like no other. He was strong, caring, considerate and the definition of what a father should be. He left a lasting impression on everyone in his life and he will be desperately missed.
Jim is survived by his mother, Juanita Emmott of Sinclairville; his sister, Vickie Holdridge of Shelby N.C.; two daughters: Kelsey Raynor of Westfield and Stephanie (Robert) Rivera of Sinclairville; two sons; James “J.C.” Emmott and Andrew Emmott, both of Sinclairville; and six grandchildren: William “Billy” Sendall, Rocky Raynor, Stormy Raynor,
Ryker Kelly, Kaleb Rivera and Jack Rivera.
He was preceded in death by his son; Christopher Emmott; and his father, Leland “Lee” Emmott.
Visitation will be Thursday Jan. 14, 2021, from 4-7 p.m., at Jordan Funeral Home Sinclairville. Burial will be private.
Visitors are reminded to wear face coverings and practice social distancing while at the funeral home.
