Glen M. Grimmelt

Glen M. Grimmelt of Buffalo, N.Y., (formally of Fredonia, N.Y.) passed away suddenly on Dec. 31, 2020 at the age of 48. Glen was born Dec. 24, 1972, in Buffalo, N.Y., a son of Linda (Grimmelt) Franklin.

Glen had a love for music of every kind. He en-joyed watching his favorite shows-Law & Order SVU, being at the top, as well as his subscription to WWE {the old stuff, of course}. He enjoyed spending hours on the phone with those he loved, as well as joking around at every opportunity he got. He especially loved ordering out or enjoying a box of Tim Bits. Glen had an amazing personality and a giant heart. His sense of humor and great smile will never be forgotten.

Though Glen had one surviving sibling and three nephews, he had not seen them in years and had developed his own family with the many people that supported him within Aspire of WNY and Person Centered Services. Glen lived in the Buffalo, Fredonia, and surrounding areas for many years. The staff at Cushing Street Apartments, Holiday Lane IRA and South Park IRA will greatly miss him.

There are many staff that became close with him over the years, there were few that felt of him like family. With that being said, Glen is survived by his dear friends, Dorianne Giles and family of Westfield, NY and Katie Cornwall and family of Machias, N.Y.

Glen is preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Grimmelt) Franklin and his maternal Grandmother, Leona (Short) Over beck, whom he has cherished his whole life.

Arrangements by Ami-gone Funeral Home Inc. A celebration of life for Glen will be announced at a later date.
