Eleanor Y. Hagelin

She was born May 17, 1931, in Falconer, a daughter of the late Oscar and Martha Backman Youngberg.

She was a 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School.

She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a long-time member and participated in Sonshine Society, Altar Guild and Home Communion. Her other member-ships include Bournes Beach Association and Salvation Army and its Home League and Senior Citizen Group.

Surviving are two sons Robert (Janelle) Hagelin of Charleston, W Va., and Paul (Kimberly) Hagelin of Jamestown; six grandchil-dren: Robert Hagelin Jr., Jill Gwinn, Andrea Balzer, Nicole Balzer, Ava Hagelin and Ayden Hagelin; and four great-grandchildren: Raechelle, Ava, Laila and Emilia; and one great-great- granddaughter, Harmony.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hage-lin, whom she married Aug. 16, 1952, and who died Jan. 10, 2011; and a daughter, Karen Balzer in 2004.

Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
