Sandra M. Sholl Miller

Sandra M. Sholl Miller, 79, formerly of Falconer passed away Saturday (December 12, 2020) at the home of her daughter, Kathy (Jeff) Swanson. She resided with Kathy and Jeff for several years, along with her great grandson Pa-trick Marra who also cared for her for several years.

A lifelong area resident she was born July 27, 1941 in Ellington, NY, the daughter of the late George W. Sholl and Lula Ackley Wheeler. Sandra was raised by her grandparents Charles and Marie Mendell Miller.

Sandra was a 1959 graduate of Randolph High School and in earlier years was employed by Randolph Seed Company and Chautauqua Hardware. Prior to retirement she was em-ployed by the Chautauqua County Dept. of Health and Department of Social Services for 24 years retiring in 2004.

She was a member of the Randolph Post 181, American Legion Auxiliary, Randolph Post 6533 VFW Auxiliary, Randolph Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 2273. Sandra enjoyed her family, attending family events, cooking, baking, gardening and raising chickens.

Surviving are three children: Kathy (Jeff) Swanson of Jamestown, Randy (Renee) Kent of James-town, Mark (Missy) Kent of Kennedy; five step children: Doreen Potochi, Michael Miller, Jackie (Jim) Eklund, Darrell (Charlotte) Miller, Wendy Miller; seven grandchildren: Alan (Jayme) Hard-ing, Michael McIntyre, Jen-na (Jason) McIntyre, Heather (Seth) Boardman, Emily Kent, Cody Kent, Gavin Kent; several step grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and her brother Richard Sholl of Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Miller whom she married in 1978, who died in 2009; her daughter Kelly Ann Stone on December 30, 1992 and Kelly’s husband Tom Stone who died in Desert Storm. Sandra was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Cassandra Renee Stone in 2011 whom she raised; a brother Donald Sholl and a sister Vivian Fargo.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Falcon-er Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy Phelps chaplain of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held July 24, 2021 at a time to be announced.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Roswell Ovarian Cancer Research, Chaut. Co. Humane Society or Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care.
