Norvale Martin-Gane

Norvale Martin-Gane, 91, of the Randolph Manor, formerly of Sinclairville, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday, (Dec. 1, 2020) while under the care of Hospice.

She was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Cassadaga, N.Y., the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Tibbetts) Lehnen.

Norvale was a 1947 graduate of Cassadaga High School and was the former book keeper alongside her husband, Howard at their Howard Martin Trucking Company. She had also waitressed at several local restaurants. She had additionally worked as a cook at Cassadaga Elementary School and at Lily Dale in the Campus Cafeteria.

Norvale was a member of the Sinclairville 76ers, Sinclairville Senior Citizens, Sinclairville Library Board of Directors (Ways & Means Committee) and the Cassadaga Historical Society. Her hobbies and interest included, NYS Ladies Home Bureau, crafting, baking and gardening.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, as did they with her. Norvale always had coffee brewing or a glass of wine to share in her home for her many visitors and you could always hear a radio playing country music when you entered. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by, two daughters: Janenne (James) Henderson of Randolph, and Nadene (Tim) Bulger of Cassadaga; two sons: Joseph (Marlene) Martin of Falconer and Brad Gane of Sinclairville; a sister, Joan Ulrich of Westfield, formerly of Cassadaga; 12 grandchildren; Renae (Kenneth) Quire, Jennifer (Josh) Tarter, Dena Martin, James Martin, Joshua (Mindy) Henderson, Jodee (Kurt) Jones, Nicholas (Jennifer Tampio) France, Alison Bulger, Ashley Bulger, Kimberly Hanley, Philip (Meghan) Colaiacovo and Angelo Colaiacovo; as well as 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Martin; second husband, George Gane; and siblings: Raymond and Jerome Lehnen, Shirley Jones and Marlene Marsh.

As per her wishes visitation and funeral services will not be observed.
