Mark Eichelberger

MAYVILLE – Mark Edwin Eichelberger, 65, of Mayville and formerly of Marysville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 23, 2020 at UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born March 16, 1955 in Rockford, IL, the son of Barbara Eichelberger and the late Walter E. Eichelberger.

Mark had owned and operated Creature Comfort Kennel in Marysville, Ohio and helped with his family business on Chautauqua lake; Aqua Casa Vacation Homes. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, time with his new Alaskan Malamute puppy “Moose”, cheering for his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Green Bay Packers, and time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife; Susan Lotz Eichelberger, whom he married March 15, 1993 in Fort Wayne, Ind., four children; Scott (Rachel) Eichelberger of Raymond, Ohio, Matthew Eichelberger of Jamestown, N.Y., Rachel (Jacob) Eichelberger of Jamestown, N.Y., and Amber (Colin) Eichelberger of Mayville, N.Y., his mother; Barbara Eichelberger of Mayville, N.Y., three siblings; Diane (Michael) Baldridge of Kent, Ohio, Karen (Steve) Eichelberger of Dewittville, N.Y., and David (Char) Eichelberger of Mayville, N.Y., several nieces and nephews, and his first wife; Kathy (Russ) Backe of Florida.

Mark was preceded in death by his father and one son; Raymond Eichelberger.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at the end of January to be announced on Mark’s Facebook page.
