Robert H. Hallgren

Robert H. Hallgren, 80, of Jackson Avenue in Jamestown, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, in the emergency room of UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Clarendon, Pa., one of five children of the late Henry Oscar and Lucretia Hennessy Hallgren, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1963-65.

Bob had been employed for many years as a machinist at the Marlin Rockwell plant in Falconer.

He was a member of the War Vets, Celoron American Legion and since retirement, a regular in the ‘SKF Burger King Coffee Group’.

Bob loved watching baseball and was a big Pittsburgh Pirates and also Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon E. Hilt Hallgren, whom he married Sept. 19, 1987; three children: Mark (Denise) Hallgren of Beaver Falls, Pa,, as well as Jennifer Ru-land and Melissa Hallgren; four stepchildren: Dale (Kathy) Anderson, Kathy (Marty) Heglund, Denise (Lon) Johnson and Stacy Nelsen; four grandchildren: Mitchell Hallgren, Reed Hallgren, Olivia Ruland and Alyssa Ruland; six stepgrandchildren: Jennifer Anderson, Michael John-son, Amanda Johnson, Makala Nelsen, Kelsey Hall and Scott Anderson; and a sister, Ellener (Malcolm) Bowes of Florida.

Preceding him in death were a brother, Jack Hallgren; and two sisters: Mary Ceriola and Jean Ann Thomas.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in the Lind Funeral Home. Following current pandemic restrictions, masks are required at all times and social distancing maintained while in the funeral home. A private family service will be held.
