Joan Triscari

Joan Triscari, 95, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away at 2:39 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in Warren Manor, Warren, Pa.

An area resident since coming to the United States as a war bride in 1946, she was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Manchester, England.

Before her retirement years, she was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Jamestown Public Schools working at Bush School for many years. In earlier years she had worked for The Post-Journal.

She was a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and was active with the war brides cosmopoli-tan club and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Joan’s number one prior-ity in her life was caring for her children. She was a proud English immigrant and a proud American ci-tizen. She will be remem-bered for her love of danc-ing at the VFW and when her children were in school taking part in the Fletcher School children’s plays.

Surviving are her four children: Debra Triscari, Keith Triscari, Joni Landy, Kevin Triscari all of James-town, eight grandchildren; Toria Hite, Megan Triscari, Keith McNeal, Suzanne McNeal, Shaun Sprankle, Stacey Storer, Mickey O’Connell, Brianne McCar-ty, and eight great-gran-dchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Tris-cari, who died in 1966; and a son, Brian Triscari, who died July 7, 2018.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Inurnment will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
