Agnes Lunetta

Agnes Lunetta, 100, formerly of 149 Connecticut Ave., passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, at the Lutheran Retirement Home.

A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born Jan. 5, 1920, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Malta Conti.

Prior to her retirement, Aggie worked as a baker for the Town Club of Jamestown and was well known for her incredible desserts, especially her mile high strawberry ice cream pie.

She was a longtime communicant of Holy Apostles Parish and was deeply loved by everyone who was blessed to have known her.

She will be remembered as a loving, caring mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and friend who was dearly cherished by all her family and friends. Aggie took great joy spending countless hours in her kitchen cooking and baking for those she loved.

Surviving are three children: Marlene (Bruce) Piatz of Jamestown, Bob (Sandi) Lunetta of Mebane, N.C., and Dan (Jhoanna) Lunetta of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Amanda Lunetta, Kellee Piatz, John (Lisa) Lunetta, Robbie Lunetta, Andy Piatz, Anthony Lunetta and Sammy Lunetta; two great-grand-sons: Mason and Daniel Lunetta; brother-in-law, Joseph Riolo; nephew, Michael Riolo; niece, Judy Riolo; as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Riolo.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. John LaMancuso, Dr. Paula Renzi, Pastor Dan Rumfelt, the staff of Lutheran and Hospice for taking such wonderful and loving care of our mom.

Due to Covid restriction, visitation will not be observed. A private service will be held and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
