Wanda J. Gray

Wanda J. Gray, 82, of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 13, 2020) in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Home.

A lifelong area resident, she was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Clifford and Leota Foster Brown.

Wanda attended Jamestown High School and Jamestown Community College. In earlier years, she was employed by Automatic Voting Machine and prior to retirement in 1991 was employed by Valeo Corporation.

Wanda enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grand children and shopping.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Cindy Gray; six grandchildren: Andrea (Gordy) Austin, Cammie (Kevin) White, Brett Gray, Maria Mendell (Daniel Attilo), Heather Mendell and Erin (Michael) Pickering; six great- grandchildren: Taylor Renee Bianco, Kaden Richard Bianco, Devin Michael Austin, Xander Gordon Austin, Journey Autumn White and Tavares Kent White; a brother, Harry “Bucky” (Shirley) Brown; and a sister, Sandra (Sherwood) Russell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel J. Gray, whom she married Sept. 25, 1954, and who died Sept. 26, 2008; and a son, Dennis E. Gray on March 21, 2019.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Marc Samworth will officiate. Burial will be in Levant Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet, 21 E Third St., 300, Jamestown, NY 14701.
