Terry L. Obert

Terry L. Obert, 77, of Sinclairville, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, at Warren Manor, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 18, 1943, in Jamestown, a son of the late Frederick L. Sr. and Ernestine McIntyre Obert. He attended Frewsburg Central School with the class of 1961.

Terry was employed at Quality Markets for over 40 years as a truck driver.

He had a love for antiques that lead to a full time job, and with his wife, they owned and operated “Terry’s Old Stuff” in Salamanca. In earlier years, he also enjoyed raising horses on a farm outside of Sinclairville. Terry’s biggest love, without question, was for his wife, sons and grandchildren.

On April 27, 1963, in the Frewsburg Lutheran Church, he married the love of his life, the late Sandy Youngberg Obert who died, to the day 11 years earlier on Oct. 12, 2009; dedicated father of Matthew Steven (Lori) Obert of Fort Mill, S.C., and Jason Todd (Kamryn) Obert of Monroe, N.C.; loving grandfather of Katherine and Anna Obert; brother of Frederick L. (Catherine) Obert Jr., of Sinclairville, Beverly (late John) Walker and Carol (Marshall) Frew. all of Frewsburg; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private.

Memorials may be made to the Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Department.
