Kermitt B. Ekstrom

Kermitt B. Ekstrom, 74, lived at the home he built for his family at 1070 Peterson Road, Frewsburg.

Most recently he called Tanglewood Manor his home.

He died Sunday (Oct. 18, 2020) at LSS surrounded by his family.

Kermitt was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg American Legion Post 556, and the Audubon Nature Center.

He served his community as the town building inspector and was on the board of Maple Grove Cemetery.

Kermitt loved the outdoors.

Most of his career as a land surveyor, was with the Long and Masters family who he admired.

Kermitt was a kind and gentle family man. He was most proud of his heritage and his very large and close family. He loved to reminisce about coming from Minnesota to life at the farm.

He dedicated his life to loving and caring for his late wife, Cindy. The two of them doted on their grandchildren for endless hours just playing, building forts, bike riding, and going to Erlandson Park ( “Papa’s Park” ).

Kermitt is survived by his three children: Todd (Dawn) Ekstrom, Jen (Dave) Pearson and Kelly (Pat) Fuller of Frewsburg; seven grandchildren: Olivia and Morgan Ekstom, Dylan and Cecilia Pearson and Cooper, Ella, and Lucy Fuller; three brothers: George, Emerson and Art Ekstrom; four sisters: Franny Babyak, Ardell North, Rosemary Carvella and Elvera Clauson; and his dog, Benny.

Besides his parents, Kermitt is predeceased by his wife, Cindy Ekstrom; and three brothers: John, Myron and Leonard Ekstrom.

A private family service will be held. The Rev. Philip Roushey, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday for a walk through visitation in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.

Masks are required.
