Kathryn “Kass” Peterson
Kathryn “Kass” Peterson, 81, of Arlington, Va., passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, in Virginia.
She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on Sept. 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Carl R. Peterson Sr. and Edith Sundell Peterson. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl R. Peterson Jr.
A graduate of Jamestown High School, The College of New Rochelle and Georgetown University Law School, Kass had a distinguished career as an attorney with the U.S. Custom Service.
She was a member of the Jamestown and National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. She had also been president of the International Toastmasters Club.
Kass was known for loving her entire family, had many friends and was known as a very charitable person.
Surviving is a nephew, Eric Peterson of Austin, Texas; and niece, Kristin Peterson of White Plains, N.Y.
A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamestown, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
