Patricia J. Farmer

Patricia J. Farmer, 70, of Bemus Point, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday (Sept. 16, 2020) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.

She was born May 27, 1950, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Nofio and Gladys R. Harding Muscarella.

Patty was a deeply loving, caring and generous soul whose light will shine on forever in this world. Many are recipients of her acts of kindness. She will be missed beyond words. It is hard to imagine anyone who gave to others like Patty. By far, her children and grandchildren are the luckiest. At the mention of their names, she would beam with joy. She loved to cook for people. She loved to give. She spent 50 years giving as a self-employed licensed cosmetologist. Patty cherished the many special friendships and memories made over many years as owner and operator of the Village Salon in Falconer.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Bill Farmer of Bemus Point; a son, Scott (Cathy) Derby of Bemus Point; a daughter, Michelle (Rob) Mamon of Jamestown; two stepdaughters: Amy Adam of Lakewood, N.Y., and Kristen Farmer of Falconer; grandchildren: Allison Der-by and Michael Derby of Bemus Point; step grandchildren: Janie Adam, Abigail Adam, Kristie Farmer; one great-step grandchild: Braylynn Farm-er; a brother: Joseph Muscarella of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Shirley Flowers of Round Rock, Texas.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Maria Muscarella.

Her memorial service will be Saturday (Sept, 19, 2020) at 3 p.m. in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Rumfelt will officiate. Due to CDC and NYS Covid 19 Restrictions Face Masks are required.

Friends will be received by the family on Saturday from 1-3 p.m., in the funeral home.

Memorials may be donated to the Chautauqua County Humane Society 2825 Strunk Road, James-town, NY 14701.
