Matthew “Jamie” Piscitelli

Matthew “Jamie” Piscitelli, 45, of Olean, N.Y. and formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Olean General Hospital from a tragic car accident.

Matt was born on June 20, 1975 in Jamestown, N.Y. He was raised and educated in Jamestown and attended Blackwell Chapel AME Zion Church.

Matt was passionate about his family, he loved having family night and barbecues. He was a hard worker, always kept a job. He was a loving, caring and a kind person. He would do anything for anybody.

Matt is survived by his mother: Marcia Howie (Steve Smith) and his father: Matthew Piscitelli Sr.; his daughter: Da’Asia Piscitelli; Brian Taylor (his life- long father figure); his siblings: Shayleen Taylor-James Benning, KaylaThomas, Jessica and Anthony Piscitelli; his girlfriend: Maribel Marte and two children: Sebastian and Marissa; his uncle: Douglas Howie and two children: Tyler Perez and Kayleen Howie; his niece: Jenna Benning; three nephews: Erik Bryant, James and Jayce Jackson.

Matt is preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam and Ella Howie.

Family and friends may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 East Fifth Street, James-town, N.Y., on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m.. CDC guide-lines for social distancing of six feet as well as mandatory face masks are required. A private service will be held. Rev. Reginald D. Smith, Jr., pastor of Blackwell Chapel AME Zion Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown, N.Y.
