Jennifer (Lattuca) Newhall

Jennifer (Lattuca) Newhall, 44, of Jamestown, N.Y., beloved wife and mother, passed to the other side of the veil on Sept. 23, 2020, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Jennifer reminded us all that you need not be tall to be looked up to. What she lacked in stature she made up for in heart, passion and commitment to her loved ones. Whether delivered through a gentle embrace or the strongest of opinions, her presence was always felt and somehow always received warmly.

Born Aug. 17, 1976, to John and Rita Lattuca, Jennifer married her eternal partner, John Newhall III on Sept. 7, 1996. It was with John, who she would spend her remaining 24 amazing years, consistently choosing the perfect television shows, making chef-inspired meals, and generally knowing what’s best in every situation – never, ever disagreeing or arguing with the husband who adored her so very much. It was together that the two found true happiness.

She and John opened their doors to help and foster a number of children over the years, in time cal-ling Milagros Thunberg and Olivia Newhall daughters of their own.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Sutton Slingluff; paternal grandmother, Jean Harrington Lattuca; and John’s grandfather, John Newhall Sr.

In addition to her parents, husband, and daughters, she is survived by her sister, Angela (Donnie) Hill; brother J.D. (Heidi) Lattuca; her grand-father, John Lattuca; her parents-in-law, Gregory (Barbara) Stewart, John (Jane) Newhall Jr.; her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Stewart; her husband’s grandmother, Joan Newhall; her nephew, D.W. Hill; and many other ex-tended family.

It’s been said that good things come in small pack-ages. Jennifer proved that true.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 851 Forest Ave., Jamestown N.Y. A private funeral will be held at 11 a.m., following the viewing. Masks are required for attendance.

Memorial may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1000 Elmwood Ave-nue, Suite 900, Rochester, NY 14620 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
