Charles A. “Chuck” Johnson

Charles A. “Chuck” Johnson, 83, of Gerry, passed away Thursday, Sept, 10, 2020 at home.

He was born May 16, 1937, in Warren, Pa., a son of the late Carl and Edna Johnson. He was a 1955 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Chuck was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was employed for over 40 years at Weber Knapp, Jamestown, retiring as a maintenance supervisor in 1999.

Chuck was a member of AMVETS and the American Legion and past long-time member of the Gerry Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed, dogs, mowing and keeping a meticulous lawn and NASCAR and was a Rusty Wallace fan.

Husband of 47 years to the late Carole A. Wolinski Johnson, whom he married May 27, 1961, and who died Oct. 20, 2008; father of Timothy (Tarryl Tolman) and Jeff (Debbie) Johnson, all of Gerry and Tina (Dan) Dawson of Stokesdale, N,C.; grandfather of eight; great-grand-father of eight; brother of Robert (Edith) of Bemus Point and Alan (Judy) Johnson of Clymer. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Gerry Cemetery.
