Margaret A. Cederquist

Margaret A. Cederquist of Girard passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her residence on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020. She was 76 years old.

Margaret was born on Oct. 19, 1943, in James-town, N.Y., the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dolores Smith Maus.

On July 3, 1967, Mar-garet married her husband Lauren “Larry” Cederquist who sadly passed away on Oct. 24, 2013.

She was a graduate of Panama High School locat-ed in Panama, N.Y. Mrs. Cederquist spent her younger years working at the Lake County Diary. Later, she followed her dream and opened her own ceramic studio in Asheville, N.Y.

Margaret was very artistic and enjoyed doing crafts, painting, sewing, and ceramics. Before her hus-band’s passing, they would enjoy going out to dinner and attending events espe-cially at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club in New York. They also enjoyed traveling to their home in Florida to hide from the winter snow.

She is survived by her sons: Terry Cederquist of Girard, and Scott Cederquist; and a grandson, James Cederquist of Portville, N.Y.

In addition to her hus-band and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Eddy.
