Lucinda “Cindi” W. Prince, 63, of Gerry, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2020 at the Hamot Medical Center, Erie Pa.

Born, August 18, 1956, in Lakewood, Ohio, she was the daughter of Merry Bethine Grunewald. On Feb. 16, 1994, in Virginia Beach, Virginia she married the love of her life Randall “Lee” Prince, who survives.

Cindi honorably served her country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, Cindi and her husband, Lee made their permanent residence in Gerry, N.Y., in 1997. Cindi worked for Nelson Brother’s Lumber Company, Jamestown, N.Y., for 10 years as an office manager.

Cindi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother “Nana,” and daughter. Above everything, her greatest love was her family. She treasured spending time with her grandchildren and her precious dog “little bit.” She enjoyed watching the wildlife around her country home. Cindi loved the beach and was an avid reader. Cindi had a very close relationship with her mother, whom she cared for until her passing in 2017.

Surviving besides her husband, is her mother-in-law, Louise Pitts of Gerry; one brother, Stephen Antel of Jacksonville, Fla.; her two sons: John (Trisha) Prince of Cleveland, Ohio and Jeremy (Amy) Prince of Turtlepoint, Pa.; one daughter, Victoria (Micheal) Prince of Fort Worth, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Merry Bethine Grunewald; and one grandson.

Per Cindi’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials in Cindi’s name may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
