Louis E. “Pete” Loveless

Louis E. “Pete” Love-less, 63, of Ashville, N.Y., was totally healed on July 14, 2020.

He was the son of Lester and Marian (Pratt) Loveless born in Westfield, N.Y., on April 23, 1957. Pete grew up on the family homestead in Dewittville, N.Y., where his sister still resides. To honor his last wish, he was brought back there to die.

Pete attended Maple Grove Jr./Sr. High School. He then enlisted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country from 1974-76. After leaving the service he became a self -employed drywall finisher until he was forced to retire due to ill health.

Pete was a very strong man. He battled renal failure from the age of 23, always with a smile on his face, a positive attitude and never losing his sense of humor. He was loved by his family and he loved his family. Nothing gave him more joy than the times spent with them.

Pete is survived by his wife, Charlene Putnam Loveless; his son, Brian Loveless; stepchildren, Jen-nifer (Mark) Bush and Rich (Lisa) Johnson; sisters, Alice Glose of Lancaster, N.Y., Mary (David) Ahlstrom of Dewittville, N.Y., Grace (Jon) Rowe of Jamestown, N.Y., and a brother, Charlie (Debbra) Loveless Panama, N.Y.; eight step-grandchildren; one great-step-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Pete was preceded in death by sisters Cynthia Henry and Evelyn Pricskett and a niece, Jennifer Loveless.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Pete will be laid to rest with his Mom and Dad in the Mayville Cemetery.

Pete fought a long and hard battle with kidney failure and all the complications that come with that. His sister, Cindy, also lost her battle to this same disease and his son, Brian, is still in this battle. For this reason in lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of WNY, 4444 Bryant and Stratton Way, Williamsville, NY 14221.
