Kathleen (Kathy) Anderson Ahlstrom

Kathy was born to parents Leslie and Helene Anderson in Jamestown, N.Y. She attended Jamestown High School, Jamestown Community College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from the State University of New York at Fredonia, N.Y. She married her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Ahlstrom, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jamestown, N.Y., in 1963 and had two daughters. In 1970, she and her family moved to Florida. She was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She worked as an educator in the Pinellas County School System, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Neighborly Senior Center.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Gerald Ahlstrom; her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Dean O’Nale of Divide, Colo.; her daughter, Kim White of Ooltewah, Tenn., her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Sandy Anderson of Escondido, Calif.; and her nephew and husband, David and Rene Anderson; her great-niece, Peyton and her great-nephew, Declan of New Hope, Pa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Helene Anderson and son-in-law Brian White.

A memorial service will take place at a later date. The family of Kathy wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and clinical staff at Sabal Palms, Morton Plant Hospital and Suncoast Hospice. Those who wish to remember Kathy in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Pinellas County School System or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
