Marie Brant
Marie Brant, a longtime resident of Corry, Pa., Findley Lake, N.Y., and local resident since 2015, entered into rest on May 15, 2020, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. She was 91 years old.
Marie was born April 1, 1929, the daughter of the late Gerry and Lucille Miller Lines. She had worked as a waitress at the Corry Country Club. She also had worked at the Holiday Inn Express in Findley Lake as a breakfast bar server. She married Gerald Brant, who predeceased her in 2015.
She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Corry, Pa. Marie was a very hospitable, warm person. She always made people feel welcomed and like they’d been friends for years. She also was a very generous person, giving of her means and love.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bradford; her eight grandchildren and their spouses; her many great–grandchildren; her brother, Lloyd Lines; and her niece and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was predeceased by her son, Gerry Brant; and her brothers: Donald and Gerald Lines.
A private family visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 29, at Westlawn Cemetery, 55 Market St., Corry, Pa.
