Raymond J. Pryll
Raymond J. Pryll, 78, of Sandberg Road, Frewsburg, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020, at Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
He was born July 8, 1941, in Dunkirk, the son of Leo L. and Josephine Cudzillo Pryll.
Ray attended elementary school at Cardinal Mindszenty and graduated from Dunkirk High School, centennial class of 1958. Ray attended Jamestown Business College, where he earned his degree in accounting in 1959.
In his early years, he worked at Gale Jewelers in Dunkirk. Later, he was employed as an accountant for over 30 years for the former Chautauqua Hardware, and for the House of Television Rentals.
He was a member of the Jaycees, where he held various offices in the local, district, and regional chapters. Ray was JCI Senator 26078. He also was a longtime member of the Frewsburg Lions Club where he held numerous positions.
He enjoyed traveling and cutting wood.
Ray is survived by his wife, Sandra Featherstone Pryll, whom he married May 11, 1963 in Dunkirk, a son, Raymond (Jeanne) Pryll Jr. of Kittery, Maine; two grandsons: Raymond “RJ” James Pryll lll (fiance, Amber) and Mark Pryll; a brother, Frederick (Janice) Pryll of Henrietta, N.Y., and several cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother, Leo L. Pryll Jr.
Due to restrictions of the pandemic, visitation will not be observed.
A private service will be held in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
