Paula N. Parson

An area resident for most of her life, she was born Feb. 7, 1951, in Salamanca, N.Y., a daughter of the late Paul J. and Joyce N. Hilliman McCabe.

Paula was a 1969 graduate of Maple Grove Central School.

Before her retirement, she was employed as an operator for The Connections and had previously worked for the former Jamestown Stamp Company for several years.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved traveling on her Harley Davidson motorcycle and taking care of animals.

Surviving is her husband of 50 years, Jimmie W. Parson Jr. whom she married July 12, 1969; her two children; Terry (Amy) Parson of Randolph, N.Y., and Lacey (Ryan Manning) Range of Panama, N.Y.; four grandchildren; Jordan Parson of Randolph, Peyton Range, Kylie Range and Kipp Manning, all of Panama; and her sister, Dianne J. Minekime of Warsaw, N.Y.

d Jan. 24, 1990; a son-in-law, Brian Range; a brother-in-law, Robert Minekime; her grandparents, Oscar and Rose McCabe, Ralph Kennison, Madge Kennison, George Hilliman; her uncle, Albert Kennison; and her aunt, Mayann Kennison.

Due to the restrictions on public gatherings caused by the coronavirus outbreak, a private family service will be held in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Taylor, pastor of the Panama United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
