Frank D. Auria
Frank D. Auria, 77, of Ashville., passed away May 18, 2020, at home. He was born Sept. 18, 1942, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Frank J. and Clara Costello Auria.
Frank worked as a union cement mason for 48 years. He belonged to the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 3-NY.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, trap shooting and dirt track car racing. Frank was a life member of the Busti Trap club and enjoyed helping out at the club.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Kay Gleason Auria, whom he married Dec. 16, 1961; children, Debby Auria of Jamestown, Lisa (Dan) Gard of Jamestown and Lesley Auria of Dunkirk; grandchildren: Dan Auria of Ashville, Ashley Short and Nicholas Huffman of Jamestown; three great-grandchildren: J’Lynn Short, Jayden Short and Jaxon Short of Jamestown; brothers: James S. (Connie) Auria and John S. (Ella) Auria of Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Frank; mother, Clara; brother, Louis; baby son, Frank Jr.; and grandson, Jamie Short.
Frank donated his body to the University of Buffalo Medical School and will be cremated. Burial of his ashes will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No visitation will be observed.
