Nancy T. Zabrodsky

Nancy T. Zabrodsky, 83, formerly of 1 Lake St., Jamestown, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Lutheran-Jamestown, surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 6, 1937, in Waynesburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Toscano.

A 1954 graduate of Warren High School in Warren, Pa., Nancy also completed a variety of college and professional training courses.

Nancy had a notable career in the telecommunications industry starting with the AT&T Bell System in Warren, Pa., and then with ALLTEL System in Jamestown as a traffic supervisor, and finally at the former WCA Hospital in Jamestown.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Sheffield, Pa., and St. James Roman Catholic Church in Jamestown. She also belonged to the Eagles Club in Jamestown and Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.

Nancy will be remembered by all for her quick and distinct smile as well as her witty and unique sense of humor, which she demonstrated right until her last day. But most of all, Nancy left an enduring love for her family and just about anybody she met. She loved and truly cherished every holiday and family get-together no matter large or small. “Nonnie” will be genuinely missed and will be in all our hearts forever.

She is survived by three children: John (Kristy) Zabrodsky, Julie (Bryan) McCoy and Michael Zabrodsky, all of Jamestown; three grandchildren: Abigail Zabrodsky (fiance, Ken Gilbert) of Buffalo, Olivia Zabrodsky of South Norwalk, Conn., and Courtney McCoy of Rochester; nieces and nephews: Alexander Zabrodsky of Huntington Beach, Calif., Lydia Martin of Quincy, Mass., Tatiana Patten of Niantic, Conn., Andrew Zabrodsky of Boothwyn, Pa., Maria Johnson of American Fork, Utah, Nina Wible of West Chester, Pa., James Reilley of Nashville, Tenn., Dean Toscano of Brentwood, Tenn., Vincent Toscano of Brentwood, Tenn., Toni Lynn Migliore of Sandwich, Mass., and Rick Toscano of New York City; as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving are a sister, Celia Reilley of Warren, Pa.; and a brother, Vincent (Esther) Toscano of Las Vegas, Nev.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Zabrodsky; and sisters: Isabel, Marianne “Miriam”, Marselline and Adele; and a brother, Donald “Jack”.

The funeral will be held at the convenience of the immediate family due to the COVID-19 declared emergency. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

A celebration of life will be held for Nancy at a later date to be announced.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lutheran-Jamestown for their compassionate love and care during Nancy’s entire stay.
