Robin P. Michos

Robin Patric Michos, passed away peacefully in her home, after her valiant fight against cancer on Sunday, March 15, 2020, with her family at her side.

Robin was born March 19, 1947, in Jamestown, the eldest daughter of Marvin W. and Mary Helen Raistrick Patric.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Crist Michos; her beloved daughter, Jennifer (Robert A. Hanson, II) of Flagstaff, Ariz.; two step-grandsons: Nicholas and Timothy Hanson of Flagstaff, Ariz.; brothers: Lowell (Nancy) Patric of Rochester, N.Y., Todd (Annette) Patric of Lake Worth, Fla.; sister, Dana (Davis) Frame of East Rochester, N.Y.; three sisters-in-law: Jean Michos Wardi of Pittsburgh, Pa, Elizabeth and Alexandra Michos of Jamestown; two brothers-in-law: Thomas and George Michos of Jamestown; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Robin was preceded in death by her father, Marvin W. Patric; mother, Mary Helen Raistrick Patric; and a sister-in-law, Mary Michos Riolo.

Robin was a lifelong resident of Jamestown, N.Y. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965 and earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carnegie Mellon University in 1969. She was employed as a caseworker for the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. She was an active member of Creche Jamestown and a member and avid golfer of Moon Brook Country Club.

Robin was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to the care of her most precious daughter, Jennifer. She was her greatest advocate and diligently worked to ensure she had the best available care in dealing with the many challenges associated with her life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. She provided unconditional love and support to her parents until their death and was a source of love and strength for her family and friends when it came to their health and welfare.

In light of the dangers of Covid-19, a private service was held for the family in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Daniel S. Rumfelt, chaplain of Lutheran officiated.
