Joseph Donisi

He was born March 23, 1939. in Canicatti, Sicily. Italy. the son of Vincenzo and Anna Donisi.

When Joe was 18 he left his home in Sicily for a better life which led him to Germany and then to America in 1967. He was a very hard worker who always took care of his family. Joe was outgoing and was friends with everyone. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and cooking his famous bread, pizzas and sauce. He loved spending time with his grandsons and especially his last two years with his great-granddaughter, Paisley.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carmen (Sue) Donisi; his son, Joe (Becky) Donisi; his grandchildren: Nathan and Joshua (Emma) Donisi; his great-grandchild, Paisley Donisi; his sister, Maria Immordino; his nieces and nephews: Angie (Chuck) Giuffre, Chuck (Stacy) Immordino, Angelo (Sally) Donisi, Nikki Spontaneo, and Lillian Wilbur; and his great-nieces and nephews: Mary Jo Angelo (Ylsa) Guilia (Randal) Lina (Tim) Johnny Ross (Mackenzie) Antonietta Gioachino (Anna) David Royce (Jessica) Claudia.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Anna Donisi; his sister, Lina (Gioachino) Donisi; his nephew, Vincent Donisi; his niece, Annie Immordino; and two infant brothers and an infant sister.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020. from 4-7p.m. at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
