John W. Thomas Jr.
John W. Thomas Jr., 61, of 517 Stowe St., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, in his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1958, in Philipsburg, Pa., a son of John Thomas Sr. and the late Eileen Eade Thomas.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Monofrax for 42 years, where he had been a supervisor.
He was a member of Carroll Rod and Gun Club.
A talented woodworker, John made archery bows. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and archery.
Surviving besides his father of Jamestown is his wife, the former Victoria Iacovenco, whom he married Sept. 18, 2001; and two sisters: Tracy Thomas and Brenda Lang, both of Jamestown.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, in the Lind Funeral Home, where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
