Roger A. Wiltsie

Roger A. Wiltsie, 82, of Clymer, N.Y., died peacefully at home on Thursday Jan. 9, 2020, with his loving family at his side.

Roger was born July 16, 1937, in the Town of Harmony to Clifford and Betty (Nordland) Wiltsie.

He grew up in Clymer, attended Clymer schools and was a graduate of Clymer High, class of 1955.

On Aug. 22, 1959, he married his wife, the former Sylvia Damon. The couple had been married 53 years at the time of Sylvia’s death on June 11, 2013.

Roger was a longtime dairy farmer in Clymer, as he started his dairy farm on Einink Road shortly after being married. He was a dedicated and hardworking dairy farmer who took great pride in his dairy cows. Roger enjoyed both sports and music, but above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by: 3 daughters: Karen (Mike) Jessup of Kansas, Mary (Bill) Posker of Corry, and Diane (Craig) Eaton of Carefree, Ariz.; five grandchildren: Rachel and Shannon Jessup, both of Kansas, Cooper (Keri) Posker of Clymer, Ashley (Trevor) Denton of Ariz., and Andrea Eaton of Washington State; five greatgrandchildren: Devyn, Bryce, Ryland, Otis and Cecil; and a great-great- grandchild, Avery. He is also survived by his sister, Marian (Phil) Spotts of Waterford; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Clifford and Betty and his wife, Sylvia, Roger is predeceased by his brother, Ronnie Wiltsie.

Visitation hours are Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020 from 6-8 p.m., at the SPITZER Funeral Home, 8728 E. Main St., Clymer, N.Y., where funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Panama, N.Y.
