Nancy L. Hyde

She was born Feb. 27, 1937, in Silver Creek, N.Y., the daughter of the late Carl and Martha Jacobs Kuhlman.

Nancy attended Silver Creek High School and was employed by Greenhurst Health Care Center. She had also sold Avon for 25 years.

In earlier years, Nancy was a member of the Silver Creek Moose, Silver Creek Fire Department Drum Corp, CVCS Marching Band Boosters and Boy Scouts Boosters. Nancy enjoyed going to garage sales and loved animals.

Surviving are two sons: Timothy Hyde (Tina) of Randolph and Gregory (Patricia) Hyde of Jamestown; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter; her sister-in-law, Donna Kuhlman of Dunkirk; her good friends, Fran (Pat) Walsh; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and her dog, Denny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Hyde Sr., whom she married Sept. 3, 1955, in Silver Creek, and who died March 4, 2017; her son, William J. Hyde Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Sallieanne Hyde; two brothers: Donald and Carl Kuhlman; and sister-in-law Lory Kuhlman.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. James Witherington, chaplain of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care will officiate. Burial will be in Ross Mills Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday in the funeral home.
