Mark J. Polaski of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Nov. 6, 2019 at 58 years of age at UPMC Chautauqua, Jamestown, N.Y., after a recent and unforgiving diagnosis of esophageal cancer.

Mark was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on Dec. 14, 1960. He was the dear son son of the late Rosemary R. Mattay and Richard. Mark will be sadly missed by his sister, Dianne (Tim) Clink; brother, Norman Polaski; and his loving partner of 27 years, David Gordon Stevens.

Mark attended Jamestown High High School and Jamestown Community College. Mark had a s contagious smile and a gift to make anyone comfortable in his presence. He began early be managing with a retail clothing company. Mark loved decorating and entertaining in the many home he and David shared. Mark became a wonderful asset as a CNA, community life coordinator within the Bridges Program at Lutheran Social Services of New York. A dear friend comforted Marks family with these words, “Marks heart was as big as the universe and the stars were his residents.” He will be deeply missed by everyone. The family is certain Mark will be watching over and critiquing the Christmas decoration event this year and many other holidays to come.

It was Marks wish to be remembered this way and not to be grieved at a memorial service. To honor him, his family would appreciate a special hello, a hug. a good morning to a stranger or someone in need. Much love and our deepest appreciation to all who knew Mark.

Mark fly high with the Angels. To my brother, may you have eternal peace until we meet again. All my love Spoof.
