Laurel E. Seeley

GENESEO, Ill. –Laurel E. Seeley, 74, of Geneseo, Ill., formerly of Salisbury, N.C. and Sugar Grove, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, from her home in Geneseo. Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Geneseo is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Laurel Elizabeth Duell was born Feb. 25, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Theodore and Gly (McNitt) Duell. On May 30, 1969, she married Rodney L. Seeley in Lander Pa. He died Dec. 23, 2018.
Laurel had worked as the office manager for the Boy Scouts of America, Chief Cornplanter Council in Warren, Pa., for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and she loved horses and dogs.
Survivors include sons: Shane (Christine) Seeley, Geneseo and Rodney “Ron” Seeley Jr. and partner, Kim, Youngsville, Pa.; daughters: Kim (David) Whiteman, Warren, Pa., Penny (Steven) Rex, Youngsville, Pa., and Tammy Nelson, Youngsville, Pa; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce (Gene) Wilson, Sugar Grove, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Rod.
