Doris L. Conti

She was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Salamanca, the daughter of the late Clyde and Hazel Freeman Crist.

In earlier years, Doris was a waitress at the Ironstone, Anderson’s, Mileys Old Inn and other area restaurants. Prior to retirement in 1993 she was employed by MRC-SKF.

She enjoyed crafting, traveling and playing bingo.

Surviving is her daughter Cathy (Paul) Whitford of Jamestown; three sons: Richard “Moose” (Marianne) Connell, Robert “Bob” Connell and Thomas Connell, all of Falconer; a stepdaughter, Cynthia Metzler of Colorado; six grandchildren: Jason (Jill) Muntz, Lori (Eric) Hofgren, Renee Whitford ,Stephanie (Karl) Cronk, Martin Connell and Raechel Connell; five stepgrandchildren: Lisa (Chad) VanGuilder, Robert Hallett, Michele Carey, Shannon Honeker and Jeremy Conti; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers: Dennis Crist of Jamestown and Clifford Crist of California; a sister, Judy Cricks of California; a sister-in-law, Veronica Conti; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Audene Jarosz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Conti, whom she married Nov. 20, 1993, and who died March 1, 2010; a stepdaughter, Donna Conti; a brother, Gary Crist; four sisters: June Ayrhart, Ruth Reiman, Shirley O’Neil and Nancy Rider; also Bob Cricks, Gisela Crist, Theresa (Conti) DeFabio.

The family will received friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home.
