Mark S. Peterson
Mark S. Peterson, 64, of 27 Lakeview Ave., in Jamestown passed away Friday, Sept, 6, 2019, at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing, following a long battle with kidney disease.
A lifetime area resident, he was born Sept. 25, 1954, in Elmira, N.Y., a son of the late Lee S. and Mary (Dorosz) Peterson, Sr., and was a graduate of Jamestown High School.
Mark was a big fan of and closely followed the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees.
Surviving is a brother, Lee S. (and Darlene) Peterson Jr. of Jamestown; and sister, Paula (and David) Smith of Lockport, N.Y.; his long time companion, Beverly Jenet; as well as several cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Samuel and Lillian Peterson; and maternal grandparents, Anthony and Julia Dorosz.
Mark’s family would like to thank Brenda Barton from Jamestown Visiting Nurses and the staff at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery in East Syracuse, led by Father Vladimir Cantor. Visitation will not be observed.
