SHERMAN — Edna L. Miller, 93, of Morris Road, Sherman, N.Y., went home to be with the Lord and the love of her life, William “Jack” Miller, on Sept. 9, 2019.

She was born in Webster Springs, W.Va., on June 16, 1926, a daughter of the late Audie R. and Emma I. Hamrick Miller.

Edna had worked for Kling’s Furniture Factory for 28 years.

She was a former member of the Sherman Assemblies of God. She currently attended the Champion Church of God, Champion, Ohio, and visited Richwood First Church of God, Richwood, W.Va.

Edna enjoyed cooking for others, gardening, traveling, church, family singing and playing music, hearing Jason preach the gospel and gospel hymns. She had a great sense of humor, lived life to the fullest and loved her God and family.

She is survived by her only daughter, Beulah Davis, of Cortland, Ohio (late husband, Richard Davis); two grandsons: William Mattson and wife, Debbie of Frewsburg, N.Y., and Thomas Mattson and wife. Aimee of Jamestown, N.Y.; three granddaughters; Betty Hicks and Troy Tobias of Kennedy, N.Y., and Lisa Horrocks and husband, Jason of Richwood, W.Va and Emmy Horrocks and husband, Dallas of Cortland, Ohio; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased in death by five brothers: Harley C., Arnett, Elzie, Reedus “Jake” and Audie “Junior” Miller; two sisters: Maxine Pritt and Mary Garrison; and one grandson, Timothy Mattson.

The funeral will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S Erie St, Mayville, NY 14757). The Rev. Dennie Land will officiate. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service (10 a.m.-noon) in the funeral home.
