Carolyn G. Brown

She was born in Jamestown on Dec. 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Clarence and Frances Clark Card, and was a graduate of Chautauqua High School.

An 18 year employee of the Jamestown Cummins Engine Plant, Carolyn had earlier worked for 15 years for Falconer Metal Specialties.

She enjoyed time with her family, puzzles, reading and dancing.

Surviving are five children: Kathleen Cornelius of Jamestown, William H. (Joani) Brown II of Ellery Center, Sandra (Mike) Lee of Lake City, Fla., Vicki Birt of Falconer and Jeffrey Brown of Falconer; 13 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren; and her companion of many years, Robert Kridler.

Also surviving are sisters and brothers: Arlene Trusso, Clarence Card, Everett Card, Neil Card, Gloria Jones and Gilbert Card.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gary Card.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Dayle F. Keefer, retired pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibbs Hill Cemetery in Ludlow, Pa.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
