Stanley L. Peru

Stanley L. Peru, 78, of Falconer, passed away Wednesday (Aug, 28, 2019) in his home surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

A lifelong area resident, he was born Feb, 24, 1941, in Jamestown, the son of the late Howard and Gladys Ringer Peru.

Stan attended Chautauqua High School and in earlier years was employed by Shults Auto Group. Prior to retirement he was a self- employed mechanic.

In earlier years, Stan enjoyed playing ice hockey and roller hockey. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, race cars and spending time with his family.

Surviving are four children: Debra Hall, Darleen Peru and Dawn (Lee) Milliman, all of Randolph, and Danny Peru of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; a brother, Gerald “Butch” (Karen) Peru of Corry, Pa.; and two sisters-in-law: Joyce Peru and Diane Peru.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Hall; two brothers: Paul Peru and Howard Peru Jr.; and a sister, Gertrude Pickle.

A celebration of life for Stan will be held at a later date.
